Tia Hattingh co-founded Manchem in 1998 with a vision to combine scientific rigour and practical application in chemical manufacturing.
With a background in Biochemistry (BSc Hons) and extensive experience in pharmacology, chromatographic analysis, and quality control within the brewing industry, Tia provides both strategic and operational leadership.
Her focus on sustainable growth, compliance, and people-driven innovation has positioned Manchem as a respected leader in biosecurity and industrial chemistry across Southern Africa.

Hannes Hattingh co-founded Manchem in 1998 and is the technical backbone of the business, overseeing formulation development and product innovation.
Holding an MSc in Organometallic Chemistry, his expertise includes catalyst design and development, organic synthesis, and biocide formulation.
With decades of hands-on experience in research and applied chemistry, Hannes ensures that every Manchem formulation is engineered to the highest technical standards to remain safe, efficient, and scientifically sound.

As Senior Chemical Engineer, Andries Hattingh leads process design, optimisation, and production innovation at Manchem.
A BEng (Chemical) graduate with Distinction, Andries specialises in reactor design, unit operations, thermodynamics, and process control.
His engineering insight ensures that Manchem’s chemistry performs with technical accuracy, operational efficiency, and measurable impact.
